Frank Leighton wins his 50th cap v Denmark in Crawley.  Scots lose out to the Danes 2-3

1977

First foreign tour!!!  Dundee Kirkton travel to Holland to compete against Hilversuum and Amstelveen. Dundee Kirkton win National League for the second time. Dundee Kirkton II formed and win Division III (East). Stevie Black plays his 29th and final International v Israel in Kampen, Holland. Israel win 0-3

1978

Gus Leighton plays his 33rd and final International v England in Glenrothes.  Scotland destroy the ‘auld enemy’ 3-0

1981

Dundee Kirkton lose Scottish Cup Final for the fourth time. John Scrimgeour wins his 50th cap v Kenya in Bradford.  Scotland win 3-0.  Frank Leighton Captains Scotland and wins his 86th and final cap v England.  Scotland go down 1-3

1988

After a request for relegation from the top flight Dundee Kirkton win Division II.

1989

Dundee Kirkton move home venue and become Dundee VC once more. Dundee VC go on to win Division II for the second consecutive season. Iain Cook wins his first cap v Wales in Weston-Super-Mare.  Scotland are 3-0 victors.
