Girls lose out in cup to Ragazzi, again!

Ragazzi ll were the visitors for the ladies’ game and both sides fought hard to gain control and neither side was able to dominate the game.  Natalia Stopowska was the home side’s top hitter as Dundee took a 16/12 lead.  Both sides traded points and a run of 3 points was enough to give the set to Ragazzi, 25/23.  The home side had the momentum and Stopowska set about the opposition again, scoring 10 points in a 25/17 win.  She was supported by Carol Lane and Lauren Smith as Dundee worked hard to win the set.  The visitors responded with three runs of points and had a 14/11 lead.  Scores from Agnes Bednarek and Natalia Stopowska helped close the gap, but mistakes allowed Ragazzi to take a 2/1 lead, winning 25/15.  As both sides tired, the lay became untidy and both sides scored runs of points, tying the score at 17/17.  The visitors took the lead at 21/18 and despite a score from Stopowska again, Ragazzi secured the 4th round place, winning the set 25/19.
