Dundee Volleyball Club

Press Report 13-1-17

Men v Lenzie

Pre-match forecast

Both Dundee sides return to National League duty tomorrow with a trip west to North Lanarkshire to Lenzie.  The men are on first in their League 1 game against Lenzie, who leap-frogged the Dundee side into third place with an unexpected win over Su Ragazzi ll in December.  The Dundee side will be at full strength in a game that could see them all but clinch a top three spot, which will lead to promotion play-offs in March.  The Lenzie side has improved in the last two years with the recruitment of several experienced foreign players and gave a good account of themselves in November in Dundee losing a close contest 3/1.

Ladies v Glasgow International

The ladies follow the men in their game against Glasgow International.  The home side are stronger in their own hall and have had some encouraging results and will be looking to haul themselves closer to the Dundee side in the league.  The Dundee girls will be looking to improve on their last outing when they lost away3/0 to Edinburgh Jets and 3/1 to Caledonia West.  Sarah Driscoll will make a welcome return after illness.
