Dundee’s Ladies team also had Premier League opposition, with Edinburgh Jets the visitors.  Lana Edgar and Sarah Driscoll were Dundee’s big points’ winners as the home side kept close to their Premier opponents.  Jets had a superior height advantage at the net but great defence from Agnes Bednarek and Lucy Wishart helped level the score at 20/20.  A service error and two hitting faults gave Jets a lead that they held, winning the set 25/21.  Experience was the key in the second set as Jets won four runs of points to stay ahead.  Claire Pollock and Danila Gasperini were able to score with hits but Jets gained a 21/16 lead.  Gasperini and Driscoll combined to close the gap to within one point, 23/22, but again Jets sneaked over the line winning 25/22.  Jets raced to a 6/2 lead in the third set.  Dundee’s accurate serving forced the visitors into mistakes and Dundee drew level at 13/13.  Experience and height again helped the Jets side as Dundee found themselves struggling to keep in touch.  Jets led 20/16 but Wishart, Driscoll and Pollock all scored to creep closer at 21/23.  Danila Gasperini, playing her last game for the Club, hit a big winner but there was no fairytale as Jets took the set 25/23 and game 3/0.
