Top form brings men their second win (24/11/17)

Edinburgh Jets were the visitors in the men’s league and were soon 7/3 down as Colin Mcevoy and Rad Marinov controlled the net.  Jets fought back and 4 errors in a row turned the score round for Jets to lead 11/9.  Rad Marinov then took control as Dundee racked up 7 points without reply in one rotation.  Marinov scored 4 points from his serve, winning the set 25/21, despite a spirited fight back from the visitors.

Hitter, Mike Coward, was introduced as the home side stormed into a 17/6 lead with Coward, Marinov and Prodanov all scoring with big hits.  Jets had nothing in reply as they surrendered the set 25/14.  Despite several changes to the line-up, the Dundee side continued to hold the upper hand.  Mike Coward scored 9 points, Marinov and Prodanov weighed in with 3 each and the score was 21/16.  Two mistakes from young Prodanov allowed Jets to close the gap but big Oz Dowie won 2 points to give match point and Coward hit a quick winner to win 25/21.  The 3/0 win lifts the Dundee side closer to the pack but still in second bottom place.
